Run a fun office event this Daffodil Day to do good work for those with Cancer

Here are a few ideas you might like to try out in your workplace:

  1. Yellow dress up day

Throw on some yellow threads, have a laugh, and bring along a donation (extra points for anybody who ‘goes yellow’ despite having meetings on their agenda!)

  2. Eat yellow

It’s a workplace shared lunch – with one condition. All the food has to be yellow. Bring along something bright, plus a donation for the Cancer Society.

  3. Office next top baker

Bring out the inner domestic goddesses and masterchefs in your teams, and have an office bake off. A little competition never hurt anyone and can fill the stomachs of many. Set up the food, vote for the winner, then sell the edibles.

  4. Raffle/quiz night

Raffle off the boss’s car park or the CEO’s bach for the weekend. Or hold an office quiz night: a little competition can be a lot of fun, especially for the Trivial Pursuit king in your midst. Sell entry tickets or request a donation on the night.

  5. Workplace decoration contest

Split your workmates up into teams with a donation for an entry fee, and challenge each group to decorate one of their workspaces yellow for Daffodil Day (why not up the stakes by offering a prize for the most creative team?)

  6. Design your own fundraising event

If none of these ideas sound like you then design your own event. Maybe make your event an inter-office or inter-team fundraising challenge. Go on, have some competitive fun.
